Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the Production staff
90% on the floor working directly with operators
Required to assist on production line, when needed
Ensure compliance of production schedules
Manage and prioritize all production processes and implements production plans
Analyze staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to production schedules and budget for production processes
Assist in hiring production employees, integrates new hires, coordinates production staff
Evaluate production employee performance
Comply to regulatory and employment concerns
Ensures the safety of the workforce
Take ownership of customer issues and follows up with “customer is right” attitude
Identify problem areas, recommend, coordinate, and implement solutions
Collaborates with other departments to maintain the ISO quality systems
Other duties, as required
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in an automotive manufacturing environment
Must be mechanically inclined and adept at troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Understanding and experience with ISO based quality systems
Strong multi-tasking skills with the proven ability to maintain stress levels while meeting tight deadlines
Strong team building and team leadership with experience in a supervisory position
Licensed for forklift operation and overhead crane considered an asset
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
