Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Formwork Construction Hire

Industry Sector: Construction, Formwork & Falsework, Shoring, Groundwork, Temporary Works Trenching, Pilling, Propping, Civil Engineering, Specialist Formwork & Falsework Sub-Contractors and Main Contractors

Area to be covered: South and West of London (SW, TW, SM, KT, SM, CR, RG, SL, GU, RH, PO & BN)

Remuneration: £38,000-£42,500 (Neg.) + up to £10,000 Bonus

Benefits: Car (or allowance of £500 per month) + full benefits package

The role of the Formwork Construction Hire Area Sales Manager will involve:

• Field sales position, selling predominantly the hire of formwork and falsework equipment
• Majority of your time reactively dealing with established relationships within formwork and falsework sub contractors
• Remainder of time proactively stimulating demand for equipment through end users and main contractors
• Inheriting an area with a turnover of circa £1m, currently performing at approx. 70% of budget expectation
• Following up on Barbour ABI leads and your own industry contacts
• Large proportion of time will be spent on construction sites
• Project can be multi million pound, but contractor accounts tend to turnover £40,000-£50,000 per annum
• Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support

The ideal applicant will be a Formwork Construction Hire Area Sales Manager with:

• Construction hire industry field sales  experience
• Formwork, falsework and temporary works knowledge not essential
• Construction site experience, may consider “on the tools” experience looking for field sales role
• Strong account management and new business skills
• Energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic
• Mix of construction and engineering background preferred
