Reporting to the Finance Manager. This suits someone who is a motivated allrounder and enjoys working in a high paced environment. We are looking for a qualified accountant who is proactive, self-sufficient and a confident communicator.

This organisation offers flexible working arrangements, you choose with the choice of working from home of up to 2/3 days per week, the choice is yours!

The Role

The Financial Accountant will ensure that the financial accounting and statutory and regulatory reporting are performed accurately. This will include but not be limited to;

• Monthly accounts and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance of Financial Statements with the relevant Accounting Standards (IFRS, US GAAP)
• Produce Technical Accounting Memorandums
• Ensure all external and internal timelines and reporting deadlines are met
• Review appropriateness of Accounting Standard conversions
• Preparation of quarterly, HY and yearly statutory accounts
• Assist with the preparation of management board reports
• Review monthly results with key business finance members
• Able to act as a business partner to commercial finance, internal audit and tax teams within the organisation and external audit stakeholders.
• Carrying out key projects as specified by the Finance Manager

The Candidate

You will have a relevant business / commerce degree and be CPA/CA qualified or near or you may be a first or second mover from the Big4 or mid tier firms.
You will be career driven and have experience in a similar position, excellent communication, influencing skills, be results driven, knowledge of accounting principles, strong Excel and SAP systems experience is essential.
