SUMMARY:

Missouri Walnut Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to become an integral member of the accounting team. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accountant should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. Must be a self-motivated, reliable individual interested in joining our growing organization. The person for this position will work in the office Monday thru Friday during normal working hours, this position is not remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain General Ledger and GL account reconciliations
• Ability to process fixed assets related journal entries for acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Prepare inventory costing transactions and maintain accurate inventory volumes and cost
• Track, analyze and report inventory valuations and variance analysis
• Responsible for the completion of month end closing duties including the preparation of accrual journal entries, monthly balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows
• Inventory physical and cycle counts
• Assist with annual audits
• Work closely with the operations team to maintain accuracy of accounting
• Create and maintain various relevant spreadsheets to support business functions for both internal and external users
• Point of contact, providing timely, accurate responses to internal and external inquiries or discrepancies regarding area of responsibility. Conduct research as necessary
• Maintain complete discretion and professionalism regarding confidential information
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite products, with medium to high level of Excel proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills, deadline oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities, workflow and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Accuracy and high-level attention to detail is essential
• Demonstrate high integrity and ethical standards, in addition to complete confidentiality is required.
• Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence and high standard.
• Willing to work above and beyond in order to meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Thorough understanding of best practice accounting principles, practices and policies.
• Preferable 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $77,000.00 per year
