Customer Service Representative
REMOTE
S TO: Customer Service Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Hourly
SCHEDULE: FT Tue – Sat 7:45am to 4:15pm (40 hours) or PT Saturday and Monday 7:45am to 4:15pm (16 hours)
LOCATION: Remote
JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for one FT Customer Service Rep and one PT Customer Service Rep to join our team. The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the direct link to our most important people: Our customers. We treat our customers as Family and they are the very reason for our existence! The CSR’s principal function is to serve customers by providing product and order information and resolving product and service issues. The CSR responds to customer questions by email, answers phones, and provides solutions to any type of customer issue. The CSR must represent MSQC professionally in all customer interactions. The Customer Service Rep listens to what customers want or need, responds to those requests and follows up to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Represent MSQC in a professional manner in all communications.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of MSQC operations, quilting, online tutorials, retreats and other events.

Answer incoming calls from customers promptly and professionally.

Respond by phone and by email to customer questions about orders, place orders for customers, resolve shipping and delivery issues, update customer information.

Maintain updated records of calls/emails handled daily.

Suggest other products that might interest the customer based on current purchase.

All responses must be grammatically correct, professional and express gratitude for the customer’s business.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results in an exemplary manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:
Education/Experience:
-
Previous experience in the customer service industry.
-
Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, able to think quickly under pressure.

Will be asked to provide a writing sample prior to the interview.
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

Strong customer service and service delivery orientation

In-depth knowledge of MSQC operations and the quilting industry

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sitting with repetitive use of hands and fingers while operating a keyboard and phone.

Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
