We are currently seeking a professional team player to join the Oaks Finance team as a full-time Accountant, based at our Head Office in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the finance team with the ongoing financial control and administration of the group, ensuring that the group objectives related to this position are met. This will include:

• Monthly Profit & Loss reporting and variance analysis
• Monthly Revenue, Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliations
• Validating and accounting for approved supplier invoices to ensure suppliers and strata owners are paid in a timely manner
• Assisting with the compilation of information for quarterly / annual audits & reviews
• Preparing monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the allocated portfolio of properties
• Reviewing the financial performance of properties with the respective Hotel Managers and presenting analysis to the Finance Manager on a monthly basis.
• Providing financial advice/guidance/support to Hotel Managers assisting them to achieve their business goals, identifying cost drivers and highlighting potential cost saving opportunities
• Identifying and implementing process improvements
• Attending to Finance Help Desk queries

An enthusiastic Accounting professional who is ready to take on their next challenge! This position would suit a candidate currently working in an accounting firm or a recent graduate who is looking to make their first move to a commercial role.

For this you will need:

• A degree in Finance or Accounting
• High attention to detail and an analytical mind
• The ability to handle pressure, multiple tasks and work within set timelines
• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
