Job description
Your role as Training Development Support will be vital in supporting the development and maintenance of on-going training related design projects working to the Desk Lead Designer.
Excellent communication skills are essential, including that of IT skills, as the post holder will be required to support enquiries and requests from all workforce levels, internal and external to the department, often at pace. The main job holder activities are described below, however, it is anticipated that ongoing and future change initiatives may require existing tasks to be developed and improved, or new tasks added to the role that enable the successful achievement of future strategic business plans.

Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
Assist with carrying out Element 2; Stage 2 and Stage 3 training design of the Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) IAW JSP 822.
Provide Project management and support in line with department strategic tasks.
Ensuring that all course documentation and records are completed and subsequently maintained IAW JSP 822, and as tasked by the Manager.
Advising the Design Project Leader on the progress of tasks, identifying and raising problems affecting task delivery and offering solutions, where possible.
Action the training department element of the Course Change Proposals (CCP) process when tasked by a Design Project Leader, ensuring that all the information necessary is captured and amended into the relevant course documentation to allow the effective closure of the design element of the CCP. Also informing the relevant Training Delivery Area of the outcome.
Maintain close liaison with all stakeholders within training including that of Training Managers, Subject Advisors (SA’s), etc, to ensure the effective delivery of new training requirements and changes to existing courses.
Informing the Design Project Leader of any problems with documentation and publications applicable to the management, configuration / control and quality of training design.
Actively engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by visiting at least one Main Operating Base/Ground School each year, including developing contacts with key personnel, and attendance at relevant conferences and seminars to validate the currency of course design output.
Undertake any Tasks or Associated Duties as directed by department management. This includes both CS Staff and department development training requirements to obtain or maintain effectiveness to the CS and your role.
