We are looking to recruit an Executive Director of Education as a member of the Trust’s Executive Leadership Team who will work closely with the CEO and school leaders to help us to achieve our mission of maximising the life chances of all our children and young people. This is a new and exciting role within our passionate and hardworking Central Team. We are looking for an inspirational, solution-focused individual to strategically lead our education offer with our schools, leaders and wider partners. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, forward thinking professional with a track record of successful school improvement, system and senior leadership experience at primary and/or secondary phases.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified professional with drive, ability and creativity who can make a real and direct impact upon children’s learning. The role would suit someone who has experience of driving positive change in schools and has a proven track record in school improvement and educational strategy development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategy, support, advice and guidance that enables our schools to succeed and improve so that we can deliver the best possible educational experience for all children. They will initially be responsible for six schools and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of School Improvement (Primary), Central School Improvement Team and school leaders to develop and deliver our school improvement strategy and services to our schools.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a knowledgeable and experienced leader who can raise standards with proven experience of accelerating progress

• Is experienced at headship level and/or has senior leadership experience in a local authority or national body; such as Ofsted

• Has proven experience of whole school leadership, or leadership across a large organisation, and the ability to develop and communicate a clear vision for strategic school improvement

• Can effectively evaluate a school’s performance and, from their extensive knowledge, identify appropriate strategies to enhance school standards and close the gap for our most vulnerable children

• Can inspire others and lead complex changes across schools * Has the ability to work as part of a forward-looking Executive team.
