About the role

This is a new position. The Management Accountant for Onslow Iron will ensure timely, accurate reporting on the Onslow Iron project dedicated to meeting the requirement of all managerial stakeholders involved in the Onslow Iron project, as well as Senior Management. The position will assist in the timely decision making in the project and provide a “helicopter view” of the entire project. The successful candidate needs to be familiar with the modelling to aide future scenario analysis on the project. This position will be included in the Operational Finance team responsible for Construction, Development and Energy.

Key responsibilities include

• Working across various operational teams (within and outside of Finance) to compile relevant information into reporting, including Construction, Development, CSI Crushing, Modelling, Marine.
• Reporting will include Margin-inclusive reporting aimed at the Onslow Iron Project Management
• Reporting will also include Margin-exclusive reporting aimed at providing an “MinRes-view” of the project
• Up to date progress reporting on project, including a monthly management meeting across all disciplines
• Coordinating and stress-checking a monthly 3-year forecast for Onslow Iron

This position reports directly to the Corporate Finance Manager.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or similar
• CA/CPA membership
• Minimum 5 years mining industry (or similar) experience
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Budgeting/Forecasting experience
