MindJam Hiring for Mentor – Gaming and Game Design – Emotional Support Job at Lincoln, England Full Time

MindJam provides emotional support to children with mental health issues and disabilities, including ASD, ADHD, trauma and anxiety, through online sessions. We engage with children through gaming and game design using programs like Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, Unity, Dreams, and many others, on all platforms.

We are looking for someone to join our team who has a particular set of skills and experiences.

Essential:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a professional setting
  • Passion for gaming and video games
  • Competence in ICT

Desired:

  • Experience of game design (Unity, Python, Blender, Java, Roblox Studio, etc)
  • Access to the latest gaming consoles (Xbox, PS4/5, Switch) and gaming PC
  • Good knowledge of the most popular games (Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, etc)

The right applicant must have a passion for gaming, have knowledge and experience of working with children with SEN, and preferably have some experience of game design. Also they must have a positive, fun personality with a natural and calming approach towards children and young people.
