Mimosa Diagnostics Hiring for Hardware Engineer at Toronto, ON Full Time

MIMOSA is seeking a Hardware Engineer to spearhead the development of the hardware component of our remote health platform. If you are a good fit for us, you have experience working on a team, taking ideas from the drawing board and turning them into a physical product. You’re good with your hands and know your way around design software. You’re ready and capable of taking on the lead role as part of a small interdisciplinary team of software developers and engineers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the development of hardware for our mobile medical device
• Interfacing with contract manufacturers and external design partners
• May include some travel to manufacturer site
• Mentoring junior staff members

Requirements

• 2-5 years hands-on experience designing and assembling prototype electronic devices using SMT
• Relevant experience designing embedded systems / SOC devices and/or consumer electronics
• Expertise in eCAD such as Altium Designer
• Experience with multilayer PCB technology and electrical design
• CAPA Documentation & Investigations along with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes
• Curiosity and Passion for your work

Nice to haves:

• Experience managing the product at all stages of the product life cycle and dealing with contract manufacturers
• Experience in mechanical design as well as design for manufacturing
• Familiarity with ISO-13485 and IEC-60601
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of CAPA procedures

Salary Range:
$77,300 to $83,400
