At MIM Software, the Extensions and Integration Services team works to solve customer problems using creative, code-based solutions (extensions). The Software Services Engineer (SSE) role requires someone who is highly effective in communication and critical thinking skills in order to assist in solving customer problems and handling larger customer projects. An SSE’s primary responsibility is to understand the capabilities of our various MIM product offerings (workflows, extensions, etc.) and to program extensions to bridge the gap between our main product software and our customers’ clinical problems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Assist in gathering customer requirements and understanding the customer’s problem
    • Implementing a solution to the customer’s problem in a timely manner
    • Use time productively by staying aware of priorities and goals
    • Willing to be a resource for fellow team members
    • Develop competency in one or more programming languages supported by extensions
    • Understand and effectively use developer tools such as version control and IDEs
    • Continually learn about relevant technologies and programming best practices
    • Responds to feedback on code, and is able to debug simple problems
    • Performs adequate testing and writes clear test plans

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    • Prefer a bachelors degree in computer science
    • Will accept Associates degree in IT with 2 years of experience or internship
    • Strong communication, time management, and analytical skills to solve pressing customer concerns
    • Must have knowledge of two programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, MATLAB. Java, JavaScript and Python preferred
