Milo’s Academy Hiring for Director of Anatomy for fun Anatomy Education Videos at Remote Full Time

Position Summary: As Director of Anatomy and anatomy context expert for Milo’s Academy, manage workflow and product quality of written and illustrated anatomy content produced by team of Anatomists and Anatomy Illustrators, while also reviewing all scripts, storyboards, illustrations, and videos produced by the Milo’s Academy team to ensure anatomical accuracy.

Areas of Responsibility:

I. Directing Anatomy Department.

• Direct and oversee Anatomists and review, provide feedback on, and approve all written products produced by them.
• Direct and oversee Anatomy Illustrators and review, provide feedback on, and approve all illustrated products produced by them.
• Track production progress of projects within the Anatomy Department for dissemination to Milo’s Academy leadership.

II. Ensuring Anatomical Accuracy of All Milo’s Academy Content.

• Fact check and edit all Milo’s Academy scripts to include accurate and complete anatomical information consistent with a graduate level anatomy curriculum.
• Review all Milo’s Academy storyboards for anatomical accuracy.
• Review all Milo’s Academy illustrations for anatomical accuracy.
• Review all Milo’s Academy voiceovers for anatomical accuracy.
• Compile Anatomy Instructions for all Milo’s Academy videos, instructing Videographers on the order and timing of anatomy illustrations to be used.
• Review all Milo’s Academy videos for anatomical accuracy.

III. Recruiting and New Hire Orientation and Training for Anatomy Department.

• Work with Human Resource Manager, Director of Human Resources, and Executive Creative Director to identify and qualify candidates for different positions within the Anatomy Department, including Anatomists and Anatomy Illustrators
• Screen resumes and conduct interviews with job applicants.
• Administer trials to job applicants and critically evaluate their performance.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to facilitate onboarding into the Anatomy Department and foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
• Train and assist new Anatomy Department employees with job responsibilities as needed.

III. General Duties.

• Assist with any other tasks and projects, as needed, to complete Anatomy Land in an anatomically accurate and exam-oriented fashion.
• Work closely and collaboratively with Milo’s Academy leadership and other Milo’s Academy departments.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Education/Experience
• Master’s degree (M.S.) in Anatomy; and/or working toward or completed Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Anatomy or a closely related field; and/or Medical degree (M.D./D.O.). Have extensive experience in Anatomy education at the college level, with preference given to applicants who have taught Anatomy to Medical and/or Allied Health students.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• The ability to supervise and manage a small team of Anatomists and Anatomy Illustrators working remotely from around the globe will be needed, as will the ability to supervise and manage all Anatomy Department tasks and projects.
