About the Role

As a HR Assistant, you will form part of the national HR team based in Melbourne and will be the central administrative point of contact for the HR function.

• Facilitate the on-boarding/off-boarding and induction of all staff. This includes drafting employment contracts, conducting reference and background checks, and managing the exit interview process;
• Manage the HR inbox and respond to enquiries in a timely and competent manner;
• Support with graduate and seasonal clerk recruitment programs;
• Review existing HR administration processes with a view to improving workflow;
• Maintain up-to-date records of employee files;
• Assist with the performance appraisal process;
• Liaise with Finance to process HR-related invoices; and
• Produce and submit reports on HR activity.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications is essential;
• Professional and commercial approach to business;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Good understanding of staff management and development;
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; and
• Ability to confidently communicate with senior stakeholders and staff.
