Milestone Infrastructure look after 24,000 miles of roads, 280,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with minimal impact to local communities.
Due to a sustained period of growth we are now looking to recruit an experienced Emerging Talent Manager to manage our award winning graduate, trainee and apprenticeship schemes.

Reporting to our highly regarded Learning & Development Manager the ideal candidate will manage autonomously end to end our early careers programmes.
Key responsibilities for an Emerging Talent Manager:

• Work in collaboration with the business leads and HRBPs to identify the number of roles for apprentices, trainees, and graduates.
• To manage the recruitment and support Assessment centres for Apprentices, Trainees and Graduates with the Emerging Talent Team.
• Responsible for the pastoral and employee related activities including remuneration (in line with agreed pay scales) holiday, sickness, discipline and grievance (unless related to apprentice suppliers), coaching & mentoring and completion of training in line with the relevant apprentice standard.
• Upskill and provide support to their line managers on their role and responsibilities specific to managing Apprentices/Trainees/Graduates.
• To work with the M Group Services Emerging Talent Team to facilitate the Emerging Talent Induction.
• To work with the M Group Services Emerging Talent Team to ensure continuous development of the Graduate and Apprenticeship Development Programme.
• To act as the point of contact and liaison with the apprentices, their line managers and the college/Learning providers.
• To conduct detailed timely reviews with apprentices and managers, monitoring all aspects of the apprenticeship, ensuring the apprentices are progressing and building their portfolios.
• Support the apprentices to achieve their End Point Assessments.
• To support functional skills development of the apprentices.
• To work with the M Group Services Emerging Talent Team to manage the Training Providers and End Point Assessors to ensure consistency of approach.
• Work with the M Group Services Emerging Talent team to support projects and events such as National Apprenticeship Week.
• Support the Group’s and Milestone’s commitment to inclusion and diversity by enabling engagement with local communities, schools and colleges to ensure apprentice and graduate programs are representative of the communities in which the business operates.
• To facilitate any Milestone apprentice/ trainee / graduate steering groups and any supplementary development as determined by the Division.

Skills & Experience:

• Significant experience in managing apprentices ideally gained in a large organisation.
• Good understanding of Apprenticeships and how they operate.
• Ability to build rapport and engage with key stakeholders.
• Strong coaching ability
• Strong communication skills in all areas.
• Learning and Development/training experience.
• Experience working with Training Providers.
• Experience of working with Graduates desirable
