Mildura Rural City Council Hiring for Finance Officer Job at Mildura Full Time

Council’s Financial Services Branch is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Finance Officer – R2126
This position will require the successful applicant to work 20 hours per week across three days.
Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:

• Provide support to the Finance department as required.
• Assist the Management Accounting Officer in range of accounting functions.
• Provide support to the Financial Services Coordinator and Management Accounting Officer as required.

Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Relevant experience in a large accounting environment.
• A working knowledge of accounting principles.
• Hold or working towards achieving a credited tertiary accounting qualification.
• Experience in large integrated computerised financial systems and experience in Microsoft applications, in particular; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $35.97 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
