Summary Purpose
We are currently seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant within our Financial Control Department who is interested in the Travel and Leisure sector and is motivated to join a large and busy organisation.
Role Responsibilities
· Take responsibility for various month end postings including Prepayments, Fixed assets, Payroll, Override commission, intercompany accrual, intercompany interest postings and other accrual month end postings in MTL, in line with the finance timeline.
· Preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations
· Preparation of the UK VAT return on a quarterly basis
· Take responsibility for preparing the sales and purchases intercompany confirmations and reconciliations.
· Prepare schedules and understand the Global IT recharge structure to group companies and ensure information is up to date.
· Complete and submit Office of National Statistic reports within deadlines set
· Assist with year-end audit
· Assist the finance department with ad-hoc requests.
Required Experience/Skills
· Relevant Accountancy/bookkeeping experience and helpful if studying towards an accountancy qualification.
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Experienced in using Microsoft Excel
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Control focused to ensure numbers are accurate and complete
· Team orientated and responsive to ad-hoc requirements
· Reliable and willing to go the extra mile to meet deadlines

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
