Midwest Indoor Storage is a real estate development group that grows through acquisition of vacant property and converts the properties into high-end climate-controlled facilities. The growth driven company currently owns and operates 11 properties in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. With the goal of adding of 4 new properties in 2022, the company continues to double annual revenue year-over-year. The Director of Finance will be a key member of the management team by leading a wide variety of initiatives as well as ensuring our accuracy of our corporate financials. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Monthly update to business leaders on financials of the organization
• Work directly with the President to create strategy, plans and tactics for short, intermediate and long-term future of the organization
• Works collaboratively with leadership to compare and analyze current financials to projections.
• Manage to and accountable for budget with the ultimate goal of achieving organizational growth within the planned budget
• Supervise cash flow to meet the companies needs
• Tax strategy recommendations
• Oversee construction draws and budgets
• Annual and quarterly tax filings, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements
• Supervise cash flow to meet the companies needs
• Oversee monthly audit and close out of accounts

Accounting (as required)

• Payroll administration
• General accounting and reporting
• Manage banking activities of the office, including credit card management

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in accounting, including financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, auditing, annual tax filings, payroll, benefits administration, and insurance
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Real estate and/or small business experience Preferred
• High self‐motivation
• Excellent organizational and written skills
• Strong experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to adapt and learn in a fast‐paced and dynamic work environment
• Knowledge and familiarity of all federal, state, and all other regulatory guidelines/standards
• This is a financially sensitive position and is contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screen including: Social Security Verification, Education Verification, and Credit Check
