Nature & Scope:
The Director of Operations works closely with the franchise owner and senior leadership team to implement strategies and processes to enable delivery of first-class operations, optimize franchise business performance and achieve company targets. The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures and Dunkin’ Brand standards.
Donuts of Rutland, Inc. is a fast-paced, growing Dunkin’ franchisee with more than 240 employees across 15 restaurants throughout Vermont and New York. · Supports positive Guest Satisfaction through close interaction with restaurant leadership teams, ensuring that tools are used and action plans are followed to deliver a best-in-class experience in all areas of guest interactions, including order accuracy, food quality and friendliness
· Responsible for protecting brand standards in areas such as food safety, restaurant cleanliness, repair, and maintenance by routinely advising leadership teams on areas of opportunity and strategies for maintaining excellence
· Responsible for monitoring usage of mandated equipment and adoption of technology to ensure deliver of better, more consistent products to guests while improving franchisee profitability. This includes both retail and manufacturing (Kitchen/bakery)
· Works with owner and leadership teams to diagnose barriers which affect performance and assist with developing business plans to maximize improvement (operations, marketing, training, Commercial Manufacturing (Kitchen), etc.)
· Strong understanding of P & L statements, budgeting, controllables and cash flow
· Collect and maintain an active working knowledge of the key business metrics and use these metrics to analyze issues and opportunities for each location as it relates to the business as a whole
· Ability to present financial information both orally and written (PowerPoint, Zoom, etc.)
· Detailed understanding of financial and contractual components (legal aspects of franchising, contract content and construction and industry standards)
· Proven ability to deliver results, effectively influencing decisions through strong negotiation skills
· Advanced knowledge of consultative approaches and experience guiding leaders to make better business decisions
