Midland Health Hiring for Accountant Job at Midland, TX Full Time

The Cost Accountant will report to the Financial Analyst Manager and will be responsible for coordinating and assimilating monthly statistical values including, but not limited to, facility volume indicators, payroll and other industry tracked indicators. The position will also assist in the management and development of cost accounting principles that will provide decision support to management.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• On a daily/weekly/monthly basis, the Accountant will ensure that the appropriate statistical data to ensure accurate data.
• Work with the Assistant Controller/Director of Finance in preparing daily/weekly/monthly productivity reports at a departmental and overall hospital level.
• Assist in the preparation all necessary schedules in timely, efficient, and accurate manner for the preparation of the district’s annual operating and capital budgets.
• Process, assimilate data necessary to reflect the statistical productivity measures of the hospital.
• Assimilate data necessary for Patient Accounting to process statements for implant billing in a timely and efficient manner.
• Complete assigned account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner to ensure correct reporting of monthly financial data.
• Upload into Aperek, bi-weekly payroll files and associated statistics with each payroll run.
• Work with TransAmerica for payroll data submission for 403(b); 457 retirement plans.
• Complete assigned schedules as needed for external audits in a timely accurate and efficient manner.
• Maintain Contract Labor schedule for annual cost report and ensure the data is uploaded into Aperek by department for statistical measures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be a college level graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent Bachelor’s degree.
• CPA designation is preferred but not required.
