Do you want to play a pivotal role in the next phase of Middlesex University’s development, supporting the launch of its new ‘Knowledge into Action’ 2031 strategy and its ambition to provide a greater level of personalised advice and guidance to future students across its digital channels?
The Education Liaison and Outreach coordinator will be supporting the overall running of the Education Liaison and Outreach Team. They will be coordinating the planning and delivery of activities with schools and colleges and training ambassadors to represent us where necessary. The post holder will support the delivery of our frameworks of activity through the development of workshops and programmes focused on IAG, raising aspirations and improving attainment. They will also maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders in schools, colleges, charities, youth groups and partner organisations required to deliver our programmes and interventions. They will co-ordinate event bookings, stock maintenance and the administration of event planning and our communications.
To succeed in this role you’ll be familiar with the UK education system including some knowledge of current HE agendas. You’ll need to have a high level of ICT skills and familiarity with IT systems and applications including MS Word and Excel.
This role requires someone with a proven and demonstrable ability to maintain work standards requiring close attention to detail and to excellent customer care and service standards. You’ll need to communicate clearly, effectively and accurately orally, by email and in writing with colleagues, external enquirers and institutions in a manner sensitive to diverse cultural backgrounds. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to work on your own initiative and be able to prioritise and meet deadlines. A willingness to travel to various locations in Greater London as well as occasionally across the wider UK is also essential.
