The Department of Accounting and Finance, Middlesex University, London, delivers high quality teaching, research and consultancy across the disciplines of Accounting, Banking and Finance.

We are an ambitious and growing department and are seeking to appoint a colleague with a high level of Accounting professional experience. The colleague will have worked in recent years with a large range of commercial organisations and will be expected to contribute to teaching and research or practice.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver high quality practice-based education and have the ability to engage students and to motivate them to perform at their best.

As in any academic position, the role will also involve leadership duties associated with a busy academic and research-active environment such as expanding our external practice-based offering through CPD programmes, enhancing the department’s external exposure through collaboration with professional bodies and other relevant sectors and supporting employability initiatives to achieve outstanding graduate outcomes.

This post is for an Associate Professor 0.4 Full Time Equivalent (2 days per week) and is permanent. The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in accounting or is professionally qualified accountant with extensive commercial experience.

Pro-rata salary is £21,678-£24,967.20 per annum including outer London weighting
