The building has been named ‘Yalawanyi Ganya’ which means “sitting/meeting place” in the Gathang language of the indigenous people across the MidCoast Region.

The role & you

The Finance Business Partner is a dynamic position where you will play a key role as the conduit between Finance and the organisation. You will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and insightful financial information and advice. This position will also see you partnering with stakeholders to provide financial analysis to ensure their understanding of the financial impacts of activities. You will have a focus on improving financial performance in the areas of budget development, forecasting, performance reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualified in Accounting / Finance or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in an accounting environment
• Highly advanced computer skills and experience in spreadsheets and database management including advanced report writing skills with ExcelOne and Technology One experience desirable
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with relevant Managers/Budget Officers in respect to Business Partnering and the provision of value adding financial services to staff
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written including with stakeholders who have limited understanding of finance concepts

The package: Commencing salary package circa $65,000 p.a. plus superannuation.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
