Mid East Canadian Pharmaceutical Hiring for Grant / Proposal Writer at Markham, ON Full Time

We are looking for a writer who is creative, nimble and passionate about communicating to audiences in inspiring ways . The goal of the Business and Technical Writer is to deliver a business case document, business plan document, or business or technical narrative for the purposes of government funding, obtaining traditional financing or applying for business immigration. The documents delivered by the Business and Technical Writer will be read by the government officials, financial service professionals and independent experts who will score the business case, plan or narrative and make a decision on whether to fund it or not. Business and Technical Writer will receive input from Fair Grant Writing including business goal, information, scope, budget and financials,

1. Research grant and funding opportunities for the purpose of developing additional funding resources for both current and proposed programs, events and administrative operations.

2. Support the implementation of a record-keeping system to track research performed, prospects identified, and those disqualified.

3. Identify specific funding needs for assigned grant proposals through coordination with the Board of Directors (BOD)

4. Maintains accurate records of grant prospects, grant proposal deadlines, and related information on an online database.

5. Monitors proposals and funding application requirements, including content, delivery method deadlines, and eligibility for grants, for the purpose of utilizing time and resources to maximize the successful awarding of grant funds.

Requirements:

• College or University degree.
• Excellent writing skills (business and technical English).
• Previous experience in writing essays, business cases, business plans, reports, and research.
• Knowledge or experience in manufacturing is an asset, but not mandatory.
• Business acumen.
• Two+ years of grant writing experience.
• Experience with Provincial and Federal Grant application processes and programs is required
• Writing: The role demands very strong writing and editing skills. You will be responsible for drafting and editing complex funding proposals.
• Variety: The role includes exposure to many different business sectors. We work with across a variety of sectors
• Eligibility to work in Canada.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
