Job Description
VBA/SQL Developer – Finance main responsibilities for the Developer role will be:
- Review and analyse end user computing tools (EUCs) used by the Financial Reporting teams in the Finance team, use the current GAP analysis and upgrade the EUCs with automation and compliance changes.
- Working collaboratively with the other members of the team on ensuring standardised solutions and eliminating “key man” risk
- Redevelop or building new tools in Excel and Access with the required VBA automation to industry standard level.
- Building SQL statements and reports as required for reporting processes.
- Liaising with users, writing up analysis and specification documentation, presenting solutions and receiving feedback.
- Plan and Track Project Development with MS Project
- End user IT support to identify system issues or tactical solutions
The Successful Applicant
VBA/SQL Developer – Finance Education & Experience
- Experience working in an IT developer role using Excel and Access VBA and SQL in banking and financial services.
- Experience in business and systems analysis, documentation of analysis and specifications for development, communication with users and related team.
- Proven ability to work in a team, collaborate and have a flexible approach to development style in order to achieve cohesive solutions.
- Accounting Experience Useful
- IT Training and Support experience useful
