About Our Client
My Client is a fast-paced, innovative company and have experienced rapid growth over the past two years, by delivering a class-leading range of stylish fashion lines to a large and loyal customer base, exclusively through their website.
Job Description
- Leading the finance function for the business, bringing financial capability in house, and building a team to assist with the delivery of our ambitious growth plans
- Working closely alongside the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the strategic business plan
- Providing the executive team with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective strategic decision making
- Establishing effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the company’s accounting records
- Overseeing all transnational activity, including the review and analysis of monthly management reporting
- VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax compliance
- Summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to the board
- Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support
- Monitoring and reporting of compliance with lender financial covenants
The Successful Applicant
- Demonstrable experience as an effective leader within an existing senior finance role is essential
- Experience working in a fast-paced D2C eCommerce environment is preferable
- Experience in scaling a business internationally would be valuable
- Previous work in a VC or PE backed business would be very useful
- Prior experience of Microsoft Dynamics/Navision/Business Central preferable
- Microsoft office suite proficiency essential
- Prior experience of Xero preferable
- Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethic
- Must be hands-on – a “doer” but experienced in delegating and maintaining a strategic view
- Fully qualified accountant: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified – 2 years post qualified experience.
