To be responsible for the development & management of Asset Integrity systems within the Royal Mint and maintain at a compliant level using internal and external resources.

Description

The Key responsibilities are-

• Provide professional advice and guidance on the mechanical, electrical and civil engineering as they relate to the integrity testing of safety related plant and equipment
• Provide technical expertise to setup specifications and inspection test regimes on a wide range of safety critical assets in the COMAH area.
• Have a clear understanding of current legislation relating to safety critical checks including SSoW; PuWER; HSG231; SAFed and DSEAR
• Know what is required to achieve good Visual display and report status
• Be responsible for delivering the Compliant state and process to achieve it
• Manage the key Stakeholders at all levels in the organisation and be able to influence external contractors and insurers to get best value for money

Profile

The successful candidate will have-

• Significant demonstrable experience, knowledge and understanding of creating & managing an AIMS register in-line with SAFed & EEMUA regulation
• Experience of DSEAR systems
• Excellent understanding of RBI programmes and management
• Excellent knowledge of inspection techniques and methodologies, together with repair schemes
• Degree Qualified or equivalent in an engineering discipline with at least 5 years supervisory and technical management experience
