Job Description
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Produce accurate business performance reporting to track the financial status of the organisation
- Perform financial planning, budgeting and forecasting to develop forecasts of future financial performance
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including analysing and reporting variance against budget and forecasts
- Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure they are prepared accurately and adequately supported
- Manage compliance with financial policies, systems and frameworks to ensure strong governance
- Ensure that all necessary policies and procedures safeguard assets and minimise financial and commercial risks
- Adhoc queries to assist senior finance team
- Work safely and ensure the safety of others.
The Successful Applicant
In order to be successful for this role:
- Immediately available or on a short notice period (1-2 weeks)
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 4 – 5 years experience in a similar position
- Experience in preparation and management of significant budgets
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA (or working towards achieving one of these qualifications)
- Advanced computer software skills and financial reporting software
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to provide strategic and commercial input into business decisions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the leadership team and other stakeholders
