About Our Client

My client is a Tier 1 supplier of electronic battery cables, wire harnesses and other electronic components used in multiple industries including automotive, trucking, agriculture, etc. They are growing their business in the US and Mexico and are looking for a Key Account Manager with a technical sales background to continue growing business with existing customers.

Job Description

• Manage all issues between the company and the named customers in operative level
• Negotiate, follow up and manage customer agreement/quotes
• Build strong long term, strategic relationships with customers
• Responsible over the dedicated and new customers
• Independent acquisition of new customers
• Analyze profitability and other commercial issues in order to implement appropriate sales actions
• Account related project planning and budgeting responsibility
• Utilize customer satisfaction survey results to improve the process
• Prepare marketing and sales plans and budgets and define the customer strategy together with the Sales Director and other Account Managers
• Coordinate & cooperate with Account Managers in other Business Areas for named customer sales cases and for sharing best practices
• Participation in Business Unit management meetings
• Participation in sales and account management activities
• Follow-up on KPI’s;
• Manage, Support and Develop the sales and quotation process

The Successful Applicant

• Technical sales experience or education in engineering
• 3-5 years experience in the field of sales or project management, preferably in the Heavy Truck or related industries
• Fluent written and spoken English – Spanish language skills are an advantage
• Excellent cooperation and negotiation skills
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good teamwork skills, ability to take role of team leader
• Ability to handle stress and solve problems
• Ability to handle frequent business travel (+30%).
