My client is a leading manufacturing organisation and are part of a global market leader with operations around the world. With local revenues in the region of $15M – $20M, they are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with very strong business partnering and manufacturing industry experience. They are embarking on an exciting period of growth in the next 5-10 years. Supporting the local Director, this is a fantastic hand-on and value-adding Finance Manager position.

As the Finance Manager, your key deliverable will be to ensure that the business receives relevant, timely and accurate information and analysis of its underlying performance. This is to be achieved by impacting the business performance through analytical acumen and drive. As part of your position, you will also actively drive and implement all relevant internal financial controls, ensuring all statutory requirements are being met. You will also be leading a small finance team to help deliver the latter.

Other key responsibilities will be including the following:

• Maintenance and efficient day to day operation of the finance and accounting function in Australia and New Zealand
• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Review, recommend and implement good internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Analyse variances and results of the company and prepare commentary and management report / dashboard for the OpCo or Business Unit performance.
• Provide operational support to local management team as a key finance business partner
• Lead major projects in accounting / finance as required
• Develop programs to automate work processes for continuous improvement.
