MHP Group Hiring for General Labourer at Vaughan, ON Full Time

Position Summary:

The production worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: operating various machines in the facility, assembling various types of doors, applying vinyl to the doors, and cutting styles and rails. You will also be required to assist in the warehouse where necessary.

General Responsibilities:

• Keep team lead and production supervisor informed of day-to-day activity within department
• Verify all measurements provided on labels using a measuring tape are accurate
• Operate machines in the building
• Ensure accurate materials are used for assembling product
• Proper assembly of product
• Use of saw to cut various materials
• Use of a vinyl press to vinyl products
• Lift products and place in appropriate sections of warehouse
• Ensure the quality of the product meets company’s expectations
• Ensure that materials and equipment required for assembly are kept in a clean manner before at all times
• Processing of necessary paperwork through all stages of production
• Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment
• Comply with safety rules; report all accidents, incidents and potential hazards immediately
• Respond to any Health and Safety recommendations submitted by the JHSC
• Understand and comply with the worker responsibilities and rights as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OH&S) of Ontario, as well as, the Company’s safety rules
• Assistance anywhere in warehouse when required
• Ensure PPE (personal protective equipment) is worn at all times
• Attend various training sessions as requested by employer
• All other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years work experience in warehouse environment
• Must have assembly experience
• Strong adherence to meeting productivity, quality and safety standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality servicHighly organized, with high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines for critical tasks
• Strong work ethic, motivation, interpersonal and judgment skills

• Open minded and flexible in a dynamic work environment

• Ability to read and use a measuring tape

Physical Efforts & Working Conditions:

• Standing for prolonged periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. alone and over 50 lbs. with assistance
• Work standard manufacturing and /or warehouse hours, which is considered shift work; overtime is sometimes necessary depending on the work volume
