JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs general accounting functions, such as completion of the general ledger, including posting entries, allocations and reconciliation, preparation, and analysis of and statistical reports for internal and external reporting requirements. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Receives moderate level of guidance and direction.

Duties and Responsibilities

Journal Entries

• Prepares journal entries and supporting documentation for posting of approved financial transactions.
• Uploads/adds journal entries into general ledger.
• Reviews and analyses system automated journal entries.

Reconciliations

• Prepares and maintains general ledger account reconciliations as assigned.
• Completes and adds supporting documentation of reconciliations into software used in functional area.
• Participates in monthly Intercompany reconciliation meetings and resolve discrepancies and action items as assigned.

Period Close

• Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual period close process, as assigned.
• Meets period close deadlines as assigned.

Reports and Schedules

• Reviews various financial reports, as assigned.
• Assists in preparing audit schedules as assigned.
• Reviews and analyzes monthly trend reports.
• Reviews and analyzes monthly, quarterly cost allocation reports and recommend potential true ups as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university

Experience

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
• Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Relevant experience in lieu of degree is in addition to the experience requirements for this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Infor-Lawson experience preferred
