JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years’ experience in healthcare or technology related work environment or a similar discipline that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this field. Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, planning implementations, and deploying mid to complex technology and cloud solutions. Experience working with cross functional teams, business, and vendors. Proficient with Tableau, Excel. Ability to connect and link from multiple data sources to a singular destination.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand report requirements and build reports that functions as desired.
• With supervision, performs analysis, development, and testing of reporting solutions.
• Builds effective working relationships with team members.
• Troubleshoots incidents surrounding supported solutions.
• Prepares complete, accurate and well written specifications, designs, test plans, and operations documentation.
• Delivers high quality Reporting & BI solutions that enable user functionality with minimal on-going maintenance and a low volume of production incidents (production failures, help desk calls, etc.).
• Identify and select usable data from subtle and complex data patterns. Assess and produce relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, charts, graphs, and tables) from structured data sources by querying data repositories and generating the associated information.
• Design methods to validate data to ensure high quality product. Explore creative approach to using data based on technical expertise of available data. Distribute reports to applicable agencies, researchers, management, and other internal end-users and provide interpretation of data when needed.
• Develop and produce dashboards, key performance indicators, and other recognized metrics used to monitor and report organizational performance. Collect and analyze metric data.
• Collect, manage, and clean datasets using an extraction and reporting programming language to ensure data integrity.
• Research and reconcile data discrepancies occurring among various information systems and reports.
• Collaborate with data managers to define and implement data standards and common data elements for data collection.
• Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• May test prototype software and participate in approval and release process for new software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Two to five years of experience.

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of hospital and clinic organization preferred.

• Ability to utilize critical thinking skills and time management principles in developing effective work plans to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new software programs as required.
• Intermediate level proficiency using computer software systems including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as other office equipment including Meridian phone system, copiers, facsimile, etc.
• Follows safety policies and procedures. Incorporates ergonomic principles in work habits.
