Company description

Dairy farm and custom work company. We roughly milk 150 cows and operate the custom work in a 100km radius. Specializing in manure drag lining, we also top dress crops and some silage services. Providing feed for cows roughly 300 head total.

Company background:
Our big rush is spring and fall where we are required to work weekends and long hours (evenings). Summertime is flexible between cuts of hay, and winters are very flexible.

Duties:
– manage fleet maintenance/repairs including tractors, trucks, manure equipment, forage equipment ect.
– operate dragline and related equipment, tractors trucks etc.
– provide misc. repair and maintenance support on farm as needed
– fab work

Ideal candidate is:
– a team player
– punctual
– reliable
– able to work overtime in busy season
– experience in diesel mechanics
– experience operating heavy equipment including trucks, tractors and other farm equipment
– valid class G2 or higher drivers license
– reliable transportation
– experience working on a farm and/or for custom farming is a plus but not required, we will provide training
– mechanic/diesel mechanic license is considered an asset

***welding, construction, excavation are all big assets as there are many ongoing projects***

**Willing to train the right individual given they are mechanically inclined has good initiative **

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 50 per week

Salary: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
