GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

We are looking to hire a results-driven Talent Acquisition leader to join our HR team. Under the leadership of the Chief Human Resource Officer, the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition is responsible for implementing and managing the hiring strategies at the Museum. This position manages recruitment activities and daily assignments of the recruitment team. The Senior Manager works in close partnership with the various Centers of Excellence to develop effective strategies and best practices for attracting, selecting and hiring processes for all candidates in the Museum. This role ensures hiring processes are aligned with current and future museum workforce needs and develops the most effective and appropriate recruiting channels and methods with a close focus on Diversity and Inclusion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Developing and executing talent acquisition strategies, candidate pipelines and hiring plans that are inclusive and unbiased, efficient and effective and well documented
• Attracting, sourcing and screening applicants using a variety of techniques, including networking, social outreach and direct sourcing
• Leading, mentoring and developing a high performing and engaged Talent Acquisition Team
• Developing talent acquisition related metrics to identify trends to inform processes and strategy
• Managing and continuously improving talent acquisition processes based on performance metrics
• Leading the implementation of and defining new business processes for a successful implementation of Workday’s Applicant Tracking System (Workday Recruiter)
• Serving as trusted advisor to other senior leaders on talent related matters
• Defining what a best-in-class candidate experience looks like at The MET, and designing and refining the systems, tools and training to implement that vision
• Identifying and managing all recruiting-related vendors and tools that increase efficiency and the experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
• Collaborating with leaders to understand hiring needs in the short and long term
• Supporting recruitment sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, MET Career Site) to align content, direction and processes with all recruitment initiatives.
• Partnering with diverse community groups, universities, and organizations in alignment with the Museum’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process
• Oversee all Union testing practices across various union shops
• Coordinate all onboarding activities
• Oversee preparation and submission of all Labor Condition Applications for the H-1B Nonimmigrant Visa Program for the General Counsel’s Office
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of corporate and/or search firm experience including sourcing and full-cycle recruiting at all levels
• 3-5 years of experience managing and leading a team of professionals in transforming and scaling recruitment efforts and building a talent pipeline
• Demonstrated success scouting for and attracting top talent and building diverse, qualified, candidate pipelines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive hiring and interviewing practices
• Must have experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and Internet research
• Experience implementing and using Applicant Tracking Systems to source, track and manage candidates. Experience with Workday Recruiter is a plus.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively and professionally with candidates verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interface with a range of staff and key stakeholders of the Museum
• Proven track record as a competent, detail-oriented, proactive team player with the ability to work independently and among a diverse group of peers in a high-pressure environment
• Strong organizational and analytical skills along with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
• Basic understanding of EEO and New York State and City compliance requirements for recruitment, outreach, and hiring of applicants
• Collaborative working style and ability to work and influence staff, candidates, senior leaders, and other stakeholders
• Vendor management experience: search firms, job boards and background check vendors
• Must be available to work onsite at the Museum, 3-4 days a week.

Knowledge and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology or related field preferred.
• Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification, Coaching certification or Diversity and Inclusion certification a plus
• Full command of Microsoft Office Suite and in-depth knowledge of data mining and internet research
• Knowledge of and proficiency implementing and utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $145,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
