Role purpose:

To support the demands of a rapidly growing business, the Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for establishing internal best practice for recruitment, with the goal of ensuring the right person is hired for the right role, at the right time.

A hands-on role, responsible for owning the entire recruitment process from identification of the best channels to attract the best candidates, through role advertising, the selection process and finally the onboarding process, ensuring a consistent approach and experience for candidates across the business that is in line with the Metric values and culture.

Work with hiring managers, advising and mentoring them, whilst driving the process forward to ensure filling each role is done in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Establish a robust, objective, internal process for recruitment of talent across the business
• Work with hiring managers to improve the professionalism of the recruitment and onboarding process
• Own the candidate relationship
• Coach and mentor hiring managers through the recruitment process, ensuring the focus is on finding the right person for the right role and not a search for the ‘perfect’ candidate
• Identify and introduce a variety of channels/pipelines for candidate searches
• Formulate job adverts to properly reflect the business and support the brand and that improve our chances of attracting the best talent
• Screening, shortlisting and interviewing of candidates
• Own all methods of communication with candidates
• Support the smooth onboarding of hired candidates, alongside Head of HR and hiring managers
• Establish proper applicant tracking systems and recruitment metrics to allow the process to be refined and improved
• Assist with strategic workforce planning and succession planning
• Identify and partner with external recruitment agencies when necessary and deemed beneficial

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Proven track record of overseeing successful candidate hiring processes
• Excellent communicator and strong influencing skills
• Empathy for the candidate experience
• Ability to assess the requirements of a business, understanding the specific team and people needs, and propose effective processes
• Experience building recruitment policies and processes from the ground up
• Effective collaborator as part of a team
• Proven understanding of business risk and a track record of implementing effective measures to mitigate against it
• Ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions to deliver desired outcome
• Emotional intelligence, showing highly developed communication and relationship building skills that can be used to influence others
