We are hiring Customer Care Advocates for our Follow-up department in Cary, NC .

In this role , you will service our customer s via inbound phone calls from beneficiaries , attorneys, and families of deceased policy holders . You will initiate and follow up on the claim process for their life insurance policy, while also educat ing our customers on policy details and solving problems by putting customers at the heart of all you do .

In addition to that, you will review Group Life claims submission for completeness and accuracy. Records data in the Group Life Claims system for adjudication and determines if claim documentation will be further reviewed .

Key Responsibilities:

• Work virtually, this is predominately a work from a home role with periodic visits to the assigned GCSO office as needed for team events, meetings, training, business continuity, etc.
• Respond to customer requests primarily via telephone, I nquiries will be related to Group Life Claim insurance benefits.
• Provide guidance to beneficiaries via telephone on claim processes and resolve customer issues swiftly and thoroughly. Enhance and strengthen the relationship between the customer and MetLife using strong communication skills, keen listening skills and empathy.
• Research requests regarding various product aspects, policy provisions, basic procedures, etc.
• Efficiently access and navigate multiple electronic systems to provide a complete and integrated response to the customer’s inquiry.
• Perform these responsibilities in a consistent, professional manner while exercising strong interpersonal and high-quality service skills.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

• Live within a commutable distance of Cary, NC.
• 1 + year customer service experience (includes call center, food service & retail).
• High School diploma, GED
• daily to our Cary office for in person training during the period of April 24t h to June 4 , 2024 . Position will move to virtual after successful completi on of training.
• An ability to work an 8-hour shift during the hours of operation of 8AM – 8 :00PM Monday – Friday; must be flexible regarding overtime & shift worked, which may change based on business needs.

Preferred:

• Some college experience, trade, or professional certification.
• Insurance or Product specific experience.

The wage for applicants for this position is $41,600.00 per year. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
