Metalumen Manufacturing Hiring for Human Resources Generalist at Guelph, ON Full Time

Metalumen is looking for a Human Resources Generalist, who will report to our Controller, supporting Metalumen’s strategy on its high-performance culture. The professional will work to improve the efficiency and efficacy of its collaborators working towards a fair, safe, and health workplace. This position will play an important role in recruiting, hiring and onboarding the best candidates, and making sure they have all the necessary competencies to properly perform their duties and responsibilities.

Main Duties

If selected, you will work in a variety of duties that include:

Run and process payroll

Work with hiring managers to plan the hiring processes, recruit, and select candidates

Onboard new employees

Communicate and coordinate with staffing agencies for temporary employees

Ensure Metalumen’s compliance with all employment laws, including ESA, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Common Law, and others

Ensure a Safe and Healthy work environment by participating in the JHSC and coordinating H&S programs and initiatives

Coordinate WSIB claims and early return to work programs

Review and implement HR policies and procedures

Record and support the employees’ employment timeline that include approve vacations, handle hiring processes, terminations, legal questions and issues, solve payroll inquires, and others

Administrate Metalumen’s benefits and pension plan

Coordinate funds or governmental programs applications

Other duties and responsibilities as requested by our Controller

Requirements

Minimal 3 years experience working as a Human Resources Professional in Manufacturing

Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management

CHRP is an asset

CPP is an asset

Advanced understanding and working knowledge of employment and workplace legislation

Problem-solving

Advanced interpersonal communication skills

Good critical/analytical thinking

Negotiation abilities
