META is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor for our facility in Dartmouth, NS. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining supplier relationships and overseeing the accounts payable team across different locations and entities.

What You’ll Do:
Your role will be to oversee the accounts payable process from supplier information verification to payment issuance and supplier statement reconciliation. Your experience and input will be valuable in further developing the AP processes as the company continues to grow.

Some of the typical responsibilities will include:
Organizing the roles and responsibilities of team members on a day-to-day basis to ensure invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.

Ensuring consolidated payables and cash positions are reported to management on a weekly basis.

Reviewing entered invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.

Supervising ongoing monitoring of central inbox, responding to inquiries and distributing incoming correspondence, as required.

Training, motivating, and evaluating AP team members.

Manage supplier relationships including overseeing supplier reconciliations and assisting the team in prioritizing work based on urgency.

Primary contact for vendors and business units, responding to and resolving conflicts.

Reviewing all expense reports for corporate credit cards and out of pocket expenses.

All other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or diploma in business with a focus in accounting.

Leadership skills including strategic thinking and the ability to motivate.

Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Exceptional problem solving skills and willingness to ask questions and dig for answers when required.

Minimum of 3 years working in an accounting role.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience managing a team or leading projects.

Experience working in a multi-entity organization.

Experience with a publicly traded company.

Experience working in Accounts payables department.

Experience in a manufacturing or research and development organization.
