Facebook’s Reality Labs team is shaping the future of consumer electronics in the emerging Augmented and Virtual Reality industries and the game-changing Meta products. As a Global Learning Experience Designer in the Reality Labs team, you will help bring next generation hardware and experiences to life through our Field Services team supporting Meta’s sales efforts. You have experience designing learning for consumer electronics and are comfortable working collaboratively with cross-discipline teams to support learning and knowledge experiences. Aiming to create and deliver enriched learning and onboarding experiences through a variety of interactions from instructor led trainings (ILT), to eLearning’s, and knowledge management system programs. You bring strategic problem solving and industry leading hands-on design skills to create delightful, holistically developed product and skills training.The Reality Labs team is seeking a Global Learning Experience Designer with extensive experience in design using industry tools and concepts to build engaging, experiential, and interactive learning experiences to help us achieve operational excellence in our global training and field sales efforts. Candidates will have experience in authoring and design tools, learning management systems, be self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic and fast paced environment. They are expected to think creatively about nebulous issues and are passionate about problem solving. They will also be able to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders in a global team environment.

Global Learning Experience Designer Responsibilities:

• Design and develop creative learning experiences and materials in multiple modalities, including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive eLearning modules, videos, device learning labs, infographics, and reference materials
• Partner with a variety of operations teams to identify the highest impact learning opportunities to design and build interactive self-paced learning experiences and materials
• Play an active role by contributing to the growth and scale of the Field Sales programs with innovative design in LMS and remote learning
• Collaborate with a global training team as well as subject matter experts (SMEs) to support various program and project initiatives
• Innovate the learning experience for our teams and drive to make the Meta training experiences the gold standard for our industry as part of this forward-thinking group
• Help shape the future of Meta’s training program(s) and field learning. Your team will be known for their ability to teach, turning the abstract into concrete reality, and their ability to engage with some of the world’s most innovative companies while we build out comprehensive field learning programs
• Assist your team in developing & maintaining technical training content, lab/experiential exercises, internal and field presentations, and accompanying field materials. Leverage learning technology such as Rise, Articulate Storyline, LMS/LXS, and internal Meta tools to create learning content
• Manage complex relationships with cross-functional stakeholders in an environment with timely deadlines and high business impact

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of instructional design experience in consumer electronics
• Knowledge and proven application of instructional theories and adult learning principles in multi-modal instruction using storytelling to build credibility and understanding of Meta products and services
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and learning principles in online and in person/virtual settings
• Experience using standard publishing/authoring tools (Rise, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Suite)
• Experience with instructional media including instructor-led, eLearning, and virtual instructor-led training and train the trainers
• Experience communicating and working effectively cross-functionally is essential for success in this role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment
• Experience in working independently and a track record of taking initiative in ambiguous, dynamic environments
• Expertise with authoring and learning tools such as Rise, Articulate Storyline, Wikis, Adobe Suite, Advanced LMS tools, Gamification tools
• Experience in scaling global training programs
• Experience in field sales, retail sales, consumer electronics sales and sales methodology
