The Change and Performance Section is a critical function within the Council, supporting the delivery of many key statutory areas.
As a Diversity and Inclusion Officer you will be responsible for promoting good relations and practices, able to provide advice, guidance and support on equality related issues.
You will support in meeting our statutory duties within the Equality Act 2010, Public Sector Equality Duty and Socio-Economic Duty, by facilitating and supporting the Strategic Equality Plan, identifying areas for improvement in development, monitoring and review, engaging with staff and our communities to inform our strategies and work.
The role will work as part of a policy team and will contribute to plans related to diversity and inclusion, e.g. Older Persons agenda.
