Mersen UK have an exciting opportunity join our Finance Department at our brand new additional manufacturing facility.

Role Description

As Finance Analyst, you will assist in the finance operations, budgetary control, financial analysis, and planning as well as be involved with company projects whilst looking to improve procedure and controls.

The role will be located at our Holytown site, however as part of the UK Finance Shared Service Centre, you will participate and assist in the management of the finance function for the UK and become an integral member of the finance team.

Main Duties:
Writes / produces reports / analyses on performances, metrics and KPI’s, the financial
situation, for internal reporting and for management
Work closely with Accounting Shared Service Centre regarding day-to-day transactions
Assist in the integrity checks of ERP data and financial accounting transactions.
Participates in the preparation of management accounts for meetings or site reviews
Analyses the performance of the UK activities, in line with budgets and forecasts
Assist in the regulatory and statutory financial audits
Assists the Financial Manager with manufacturing cost accounting and analysis
Participates in the drafting of the budget
Participates in Capex management (follow up, post- mortem analysis, valuations)
Participates where relevant in month end processes and reporting requirements
Working closely with non-finance related stakeholders.

Specification:

Essential:

Experience within a manufacturing finance environment

Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail

Highly proficient using Excel

Good communication skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practice

Critical thinker/Problem solver

Strong organizational ability

Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe as required

Desirable:

JDE or similar ERP system knowledge / experience

Power BI experience

Job Type: Full-time
