Merits Health Products Hiring for Logistics Specialist at Fort Myers, FL Full Time

Merits Health Products, Inc. is the U.S. headquarters for a medical mobility device manufacturer, and we are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist for our Fort Myers location. This position is responsible for providing support to the Logistics Manager in the processing and shipping of product and parts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Track/Maintain inbound container s
• Manage inbound container delivery schedule for both warehouses
• Develop strategy plan to get orders out & backorders filled
• Work with Logistics Planner to prioritize orders
• Investigate all freight claims, damages, missing shipments & maintain claim log
• Create SOPs for logistics policies, procedures, support plans
• Monitor the performance of team, routing, and scheduling plan
• Liaise between Warehouse & Sales team regarding Order/Inventory Status
• Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs
• Required to work after hours & weekends when needed
• Fill in as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Business (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
• Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong problem-solving & customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Duties are performed in an office environment.
• Contact with internal and external customers and vendors.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
