Position Profile: The Field Operator I, II, & III is an integral member of the Operations Team, helping to maintain and operate rotating and other equipment in a safe, effective, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. This person will have routine assignments that include assisting mechanics with scheduled engine and compressor overhauls. The operator will assist and oversee contractors employed by Meritage Midstream to complete assigned tasks or projects including preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is reliable. The Field Operator I, II, & III will perform minor maintenance on facilities and equipment in assigned areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Without restricting the generality of this job description, the Field Operator I, II, & III for Meritage Midstream shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to, the following:
Assists with the completion of hands-on repairs.
Reads and follows pipeline maps.
Runs pipeline pigs.
Blows downs for tie-ins.
Performs compliance inspections.
Maintains pipeline related documentation.
Supports all company policies.
Performs minor repairs on equipment, including touch up painting.
Locates pipelines on an as needed basis
Assists others with pipeline construction and operations projects.
Changes charts/download meters.
Operates compressor station.
Pressure washes, cleans, organizes, and takes ownership of assigned equipment and
facilities, including assigned vehicle.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Oil and Gas Industry highly desired, Midstream experience a plus
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong commitment to safety and environmental policies
Pipefitting skills
Establish residence in the work area and be on call
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and Outlook
Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods to include weekends and holidays
Field Operator I
0-1+ years Oil and Gas industry experience preferred, Midstream sector a plus
Field Operator II
3+ years Oil and Gas industry experience preferred, Midstream sector a plus
3+ years Oil and Gas Field Operator experience or related industry
Field Operator III
5+ years Oil and Gas industry experience preferred, Midstream sector a plus
5+ years Oil and Gas Field Operator experience or related industry

Physical Requirements:
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Climbing. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
Crouching. Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug object in a sustained motion.
Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
