Medication Aide

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Location: Stillwater, MN

Pay: $19/hr. DOE + up to $1.50 shift differential (varies by shift)

Shift Available:

• 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

***all positions will require every other weekend commitment***

Job Duties:

• Administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains medical records under the supervision of a nurse.
• Verifies identity of the patient receiving medication and records the name of the drug, and time of administration on specified forms or databases.
• Presents medication to a patient observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures.
• May take vital signs or observes patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Records and restock medication inventories.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects the facility by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Interested in being certified as a TMA (Trained Medication Aide), we will train you!
• A minimum of one year of freedom from chemical abuse problems.
