Sales Engineer
Robotics and Automation Machinery
Dynamic and well-established company looking for Sales Engineer with experience in Automation Machinery and Robotic Systems to become an integral part of company growth by helping increase sales for our engineering/manufacturing team. As an established designer and builder of sophisticated automation machinery for the wood industry, we intend to expand our market reach within the wood industry and beyond. New areas will include machine tending and packaging using automation and robotics.
Mission of the Role:
Generate and increase profitable sales for Robotics and Automation Machinery that fits the Company’s focus. Work with customers to define objectives and specifications. Work with the Mereen-Johnson team to develop solutions to meet the customer’s needs. Present a positive image of the company and its people.

Key Responsibilities
o Develop new customers.
o Develop and execute lead generation plan.
o Help with proposals.
o Work with sales and engineering team to close sales.
o Help customers define their requirements, constraints, objections, and objectives to generate customer specifications and help the sales/engineering team define a scope of work.
o Continuously maintain communication with the customer and the Mereen Johnson team to resolve customer problems and manage expectations.
o Present and/or help with presentation of proposals to customers.
o Participate in trade shows, including set-up and tear-down.
o Keep abreast of new technology in the industries that Mereen Johnson covers and/or seeks to develop.
Education/Experience
Engineering and/or technical background with experience in automation machinery and/or robotic systems integration. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering or Physics, with business acumen and some sales experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
· Strong interpersonal skills – written, oral and listening skills
· Good analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.
· Proficient user of MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
· Knowledge and background in machinery and/or robotic systems integration.
· Ability to work with details across a variety of changing projects simultaneously.
· Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
· Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle from a sales/communication standpoint.
· Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
Benefits: Base Salary, plus commission and competitive benefits

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
