Are you passionate about Diabetes Education? Are you innovative and flexible? Opportunity to join our team working with both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Permanent Part-time, 4 days per fortnight at Mercy Hospital for Women
    An opportunity to join our team on a permanent basis
  • Act as an expert clinical resource
  • Provide comprehensive diabetes self-management education to inpatients and outpatients, to support patients to identify goals and develop self-care behaviours
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team which provides a highly responsive and flexible service to patients and carers

ABOUT YOU:
  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education
  • Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) or working towards
  • Highly developed clinical and interpersonal skills including: problem solving, conflict resolution, communication & liaison skills
  • Experience in acute hospital based complex care environments highly desirable

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women’s health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
