Mercy Community Service Hiring for Finance Performance Analyst Job at Brisbane Full Time

We are growing and need a talented Financial Performance Analyst to join our Finance team based in Nudgee. This role will have a key focus in the month end processes, where you will ensure data integrity is maintained whilst providing efficiency by supplying accurate and relevant financial data. You will also play an integral part in specific finance initiatives including systems transition.

The Role…

Reporting to the Financial Performance Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Preparing Aged Care monthly management analysis and reports including journals associated with the delivery of month and year end processes
• Working with the Business Partners to develop additional reports and improved existing reporting to better communicate Financial and non-Financial information to the managers
• Preparing accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with budget and forecast preparation
• Preparing program quarterly and annual acquittals for grand funded programs
• Providing financial support and analysis to project managers
• Providing financial support to managers of the business units and key stakeholders
• Undertaking analytical reviews and Ad hoc reporting
• Assisting in the transition from Navision for the Aged Care operations in Rockhampton
• Updating financial information for aged care residents and make adjustments as required from Services Australia.

About You…

To be successful in the role you will hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting and be studying towards your CA/CPA. You will have recent experience in a similar role and exposure to process improvement and implementation within a multi-faceted organisation with diverse operations and programs. While not essential, relevant experience in the Not for Profit sector especially Residential Aged Care and/or Retirement Villages would be favourable.

You will be an analytical thinker with natural problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail. You will need the ability to explain financial budgetary frameworks to front line managers, so strong interpersonal and communications skills are a must. Exposure to TechnologyOne will be advantageous, along with intermediate Microsoft skills.
