Merchant Homewares is the online sister store to the much loved family run brick and mortar stores of Perth . Merchants is focused on providing high quality, unique homewares and gifts and old fashioned customer service. After 10 years operating in Swanbourne and South Perth we are finally going online and looking for a motivated and organised E-Commerce Assistant.

About the Role:

We are looking for a digital all rounder to help launch our first gift store website as well as assisting in keeping our shopify running smoothly year round!

• Maintain, update and publish website content, including products and imagery, ensuring accuracy.

• Maintain the products database back-end.

• Packing and organising orders to send.

• Assisting in keeping track of stock inventories.

• Assist with Social Media publishing as needed.

• General ad hoc administrative tasks as required/inquiet times.

Skills, Experience & Attributes:

The person we are looking for will be involved in all areas of our store’s digital footprint and be interested in creating and maintaining a unique and exciting local online gift emporium.

• Experience in an eCommerce focused role within the retail industry highly regarded

• Experience with Shopify advantageous or other web-based e-commerce platforms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to generate accurate and concise product descriptions.

• Ability to work unsupervised with good time management skills

• Manage multiple tasks at a time

• Detail oriented!

• Possess a positive attitude and motivated attitude.

• Able to write Social Media content

• Experience with Adobe software of image editing skills favourable.
