The Role

As a Product Manager, you will deliver both internal and external-facing products to market, address a market need, and represent viable business opportunities. Working under the direct supervision of the VP Product, you will ensure the products support the company’s overall strategy and goals throughout the product lifecycle. This involves gathering and prioritizing requirements, defining the product vision, and working with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure goals and milestones are met.

Responsibilities

To help define the product vision, strategy, as well as develop and maintain the product roadmap

Own the overall product through its lifecycle

Liaise between different departments and communicate with Senior Management on product updates

and requirements

Establish project framework and contribute to improving existing DevOps processes

Gather, manage, and prioritize product requirements

Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and the final product

development by engineering teams

Maintain and prioritize the product backlog

Establish milestones and coordinate opportunities for alignment between key stakeholders and the development team

Devise solutions to deliver on company-wide annual strategic goals

Act as a product leader within Merchant Growth and help the team execute on a shared vision

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Experience facilitating both technical and non-technical meetings with stakeholders and developers

Ability to communicate and liaise with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders:

Business Development – understanding the needs of various types of customers and partners

Operations/Risk – helping architect auto KYC & adjudication processes & systems

Software Development – specifying product requirements in a JIRA product to release new versions of the various components of the product

Strong experience in a dynamic product management role

Proven ability to oversee all elements of the product development lifecycle

Must have demonstrated success in defining and launching products

Experience working with Agile methodologies

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills

Experience in the financial (banking, accounting, or payment processing) industry is a plus

Experience using modern wireframing and design tools

Self-motivated and requires minimal supervision

At least 2 years of experience working in a product-related role

Post-secondary degree
